Episode: Protecting nearshore ecosystems with Division of Aquatic Resources

Wakeful State has collaborated with the Malama Learning Center and our remarkable collaborator, Pauline Sato, to produce impactful video segments for the Outside Hawaiʻi television series. Our productions have spotlighted critical environmental initiatives, including community and governmental efforts to protect nearshore reef ecosystems, native tree planting projects aimed at increasing canopy coverage to combat climate change, and youth summer education programs designed to cultivate environmental stewardship among Hawaiʻi's younger generation. These stories aim to inspire and mobilize the community toward a more sustainable and resilient future for the islands.
